What is the purpose of this role

This role is for an individual who would relish the opportunity to immerse themselves in both project work and deeper RF theory to support our extensive IRAD activities.

We are looking for a senior design engineer with waveguide experience.  Five years of experience would be ideal.

This is a new role, due to the exponential increase in design work, specifically in electromagnetic antenna design. The successful candidate will directly report to the CTO, Michael Hollenbeck.

The preference is for this role is to work at the Optisys HQ in Salt Lake, to support the day to day running of projects and production, however, part/full time remote working would be considered.

This role is an opportunity to work on the leading edge of metal 3D printed antennas, which are a novel class of antennas that allow for pushing the limits of what physics allows in antenna design. Optisys antennas can be found all around the world and out of this world in space. This position requires creativity and exploration of difficult design challenges to solve problems that have not been encountered before.
