What is the purpose of this role
This position will support the Security, Scanning, Property Control, and Off-site Records Management functions. Functions; ensuring compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) as a backup to the Security Department; supporting established regulations and procedures; distributing educational materials, assisting with the overall daily office activities of the areas of responsibility noted above. Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Must be able to obtain/maintain a minimum DoD SECRET Security clearance with a current T3 background investigation
Ability to assist in creating training materials and conduct training

Computer literate, Internet practical understanding, and experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel. 50 wpm keyboarding speed.
Act on own initiative. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Perform successfully when juggling and re-prioritizing multiple assignments in a fast-paced, changing work environment. Reliable follow through on assigned projects in a complete, well conceived and timely manner.
Duties and responsibilities
Assist with Security special programs as assigned.
Maintain tracking and reporting foreign travel to required government agencies.
Conduct required pre/post foreign travel briefings for employees, and contractors.
Process incoming and outgoing visit requests, updating the Citizenship List as necessary.
Maintain all security documentation and files accurately and in accordance with requirements.
Maintain interaction with DSS Industrial Security and Counterintelligence (CI) Representatives.
Assist with conducting and documenting investigations into compliance security violations and compromises of classified information.
Utilize the Access Control System to generate/maintain badges for employees, contractors, and visitors.
Assist with physical building security maintenance, alarm issues, and response.
Assist with DoD and CI government Industrial Security program administration.
Assist Security on the NISPOM mandated Insider Threat panel.
Assist with updating “Export Video Training” consulting with the Safety Representative and Export Compliance
Coordinate with Safety Representative to update annual badge training.
Assist with Scanning documents, and verify Quality Images as needed
Backup Scanning and communicate with personnel to resolve questions on document identification and indexing
Backup Scanning to perform archiving of inactive records and update archiving log
Backup Scanning to maintain the Archive library of documents removed from active system
Assist with Project Setup and Maintenance using Scanning software
Prep documents: Remove staples, Mend tears, Separate pages, and print barcode sheets as required
Other support as needed
Assist in Maintaining property control system for customer and Government property: input records in database, run reports, tag property items, and conduct semi-annual and annual inventory reviews as required.
Assist in Processing incoming/outgoing shipments of government-controlled items: verify and prep shipment items, use government database to process shipments, and prepare shippers.
Participating in any reviews/assessments/audits and conduct and assist with any corrective actions required.
Backup the Front Lobby area in a professional and courteous manner by assisting with visitor and badge compliance and filling in when Receptionist is not available.
Update and maintain the citizenship list.
Retrieving and transferring records to off-site storage and coordinate with off-site records storage personnel
Process records reference requests.
Maintain the records database.
Maintain associated records administration files.
Assist with annual destruction of records.
Specific geographic location requirements
Education and qualifications
High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Obtain and maintain CDSE CI and PII
Maintain certifications for access to JPAS, DISS, SWFT, and vendor fingerprint websites.
Must be a US Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien, or Protected Individual under the Code of Federal Regulations
